I’m Aaron Lam. I’m 19 . I study Engineering at Melbourne University. I like maths, cocktails and music.

About measurements:
When given simply a number of a liquid ingredient i.e. “1 1/2 Gin”, this specifies that number x 30mL of the ingredient. So, “1 1/2 Gin” refers to 45mL of gin, equivalent to 1.5 measures or shots or fluid ounces.

1 fl oz = 1 shot = 1 measure = 30 mL
1tbsp = 15 mL
1tsp = 5mL

  1. Hey Aaron,

    We met the other night while having a drink at Seamstress. You mentioned that you were keen to work behind a cocktail bar. I had a word with Sebastian from 1806 and he said that he is looking for someone in three or four weeks. If that suits he suggests that you pop down the bar with a CV (not Thursdays), and he could arrange an interview. Tell him Marty sent you.

  2. Hi Adam

    Thought you may be keen to know that the new cocktail bar hidden away upstairs at The Millswyn has now opened – called Bar 132.
    They’re mixing up some really amazing cocktails!
    The name came from the space left between The Millswyn address – 131-133 Domain Road, South Yarra – you should check it out if you’re ever in the area.
